Bora Bora
Part of French Polynesia, Bora Bora is an island in the South Pacific Ocean. It is surrounded by a coral reef as well as a lagoon whose waters are of a beautiful turquoise colour.
There is a dormant volcano right in the centre of the island. There are also several resorts for tourists perched on top of water. Tourism is the main source of income. Coconuts and sea food
are other sources of income. The weather is warm throughout the year with maximum rainfall from November to February. The main languages spoken by the inhabitants are French and Tahitian who
also have a good understanding of English. Scuba diving and snorkelling are popular activities.

MODES OF TRAVEL
Transportation
The usual way to get to Bora Bora is to fly to Bora Bora Airport itself. The airport is located on an islet called Motu Mute. Once you reach Bora Bora, there are
four modes of transportation available to travel around the island (US News & World Report, 2018). These include:
Rented Bicycle
Rented Car
Bus
Taxi
A rented bicycle is a very convenient and affordable form of transportation in Bora Bora and it would be possible to traverse the entire island in just about
four hours using a bicycle alone (US Travel News, 2018). A rented car is another affordable form of transportation. Cars can be rented from car rental agencies, the local airport, and some guest resorts.
Names of some car rental agencies include: Europcar, Avis, Bora Bora Tours, and Fare Piti Rent-a-Car (US News & World Report, 2018). The local bus service called Le Truck (US News & World Report, 2018) is the cheapest form of transportation.
However, it is quite unreliable. Taxis are very expensive in Bora Bora. There are both car taxis and water taxis available and a water taxi service costs ten times more (US News & World Report, 2018).
